The day after

Watching the Japanese and Cameroon national teams (soccer) play on the tube right now.  Today's Wednesday and the team was gathered on Sunday evening to prepare for this match.  Meeting a few days before friendlies and a number of weeks before tournaments is par for the course for national teams.  Club teams get to have post game meetings, analysis and practice.  It's pretty important to talk about what was done right, what was done wrong, etc. right after the game.  Especially with a "teacher" type coach like Ivica Osim for Japan, it might make a HUGE difference if the national team had an extra day (or half day) together after these games.

Japan did win 2-0 though.
