I never liked Airbus, most of it comes from the fact that I grew up in Seattle and have a lot of mistaken loyalty for Boeing, but now that I read about Airbus proposing standing room seats to some Asian airlines. . .I'm just plain scared of them. Standing room seats on a biz trip? No, thanks.

hey, dice, if the plane flys vertically, all the passengers will be their backs, laying down...right?
that's a cool way to fly long distance.
That's crazy. Looks like some form of torture. But anything to make a buck I suppose. With the end of oil near, they may want to work on something else besides different seats though...
Well, I'm flying home in a few hours, on a Boeing.
dice:
try this standing seat formation on your flight home...tell those flight attendants that you are trying out new seating arrangement.
Is it that crazy?
But, if they made it like capsule hotels (kind of like the Fifth Element. . .I suppose), there might be a lot of new inductees into the * Mile Club or the Ten thousand feet club, or whatever it's called.
Why not just melt the passengers and pour them into the plane? This way you could fill the thing up completely
They tried the melting, but people just got mixed together. Pretty messy.
