Perhaps Schar brought the gray grit of Mongolia with him to the S-T-L. Perhaps it originated in the S-T-L. In any case, it was a good, albeit short visit to hang out with DLS and aet after Thanksgiving. Sure, it was slightly nutty to be going West on Saturday when Monday was calling, but when you gotta get yo' Rap Snacks on, you do what you gotta do. You feel me? After hanging out Saturday checking out aet's sweet prints, eating kayak sengwhiches, melting electric tea kettles, and exchanging gifts of art, literature, and Mongolian cashmere and vodka, we hit the city for a brief, but comprehensive tour of the arch and other attractions.

It was a great day for black and white.

Bye, bye Busch. If only it were really Bush.

Heading back down to the landing. I hear a heavy metal drummer...

I sincerely miss thoseI sincerely miss those change the world conversations, used to have by the griller in the summer. Yeah, this one was grey and wet, but stellar all the same, and let me say, first off, the amount of mad propers I'd like to give to you and C for braving miles of cornfields on a weekend jaunt to the STL is very large. If I had a whole universe of propers, I would give them all to you.
Here are my highlights of the 24 hours we spent together in the LOUIS, in no particular order and delivered with great emotion.
1. The cashier-woman at breakfast who answered the question about the granola and fruit thingy available by saying, "umm, I don't know, granola with fruit. And stuff." Ok, maybe she didnt say And stuff, but she could've.
2. One of us (I think it was C) who asked the waitress-woman to change the music or turn it off--I think they really liked us at that place.
3. The really yeasty beer. Boy, there was a lot of yeast in that beer.
3a. Papadams and thip. Im fairly certain that's never been done before.
4. Skel-eh-ton. Ok, that came later, so wouldnt technically be in the 24 hours, but you wouldve enjoyed it, trust me.
5. A stadium, half rebuilt and half torn down, ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
6. Steely /-- made me feel invincible and lofty, but then __/ and finally /-- again but even better, kind of like /~~
7. And my wife that I just met, she's lookin like a wreck
8. Art! and Literature! This bears repeating, thus: Art! and Literature!
And I know I wouldn't put them in order, but my favorite:
The Ju-ly Surprise, not even remotely like a Shanghai Surprise, because this one could be Carlena, Frankie, Tyrone....
Well, a good time was had by all, and I can't wait to do it again. I love you peoples.
tyronethat would be good. But not as good as Tyrone Ricardo. Or Carlena Joan. Yeah, dogg, that was the shizznit. Figured we could at the very least meet you 1/2,000 of the way, ya dig? I'm pretty much certain it was aet who laid the smack down on the music situation. Thankfully that waitress was nice, as were the hashbrowns. But I'm sure they still didn't love us. I like your /–- thoughts. Those should be in a sketchbook somewhere, no? Hope you had a good flight back. Do they serve thin slices of beef over hot coals on Korean Air? Or can you just cook them in a vat of boiling water?
Looks like a lot of funwas had. . .
Hopefully we can all gather in East Asia someday.
Dre is coming to Japan from the 29th to the 2nd.
bye bye buschAs of Dec. 8 at 12:30am, the demolition of the original Busch stadium was completed. You all saw the final stages of Busch Memorial Stadium just days before it's final demise.

A bigger, better, faster, newer, greater Busch Stadium is being constructed in the same location and the St. Louis Cardinals are slated to host their first game in the new structure in April, against the Milwaukee Brewers.
